Bega Cheese is an innovative & highly successful global leader in the manufacture & distribution of a wide variety of quality cheese & dairy products for major domestic & international customers. Our business employs around 1200 people across four sites in NSW & VIC, with our head office based in Bega, on the south coast of NSW.
An opportunity has now arisen for a suitably qualified professional to join our Technical Services Department in Bega as a Packaging Development Officer. This is a fulltime role, available for a 12 month contract period, although a continuing opportunity may emerge for the right appointee. The successful appointee will be involved in the co-ordination of packaging development activities, including the review of customer compliance issues.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a similar role, gathered in a manufacturing environment, & be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Australian & New Zealand Food Standards Code, whilst holding formal qualifications in a science-related discipline or proven relevant experience.
You will possess strong organisation, planning & prioritisation skills; be self-reliant & able to successfully engage with & elicit support & co-operation from multiple stakeholders, so as to achieve agreed outcomes. You will be computer literate, including Microsoft Office & ideally Adobe Acrobat & Illustrator, & be capable of liaising effectively with external suppliers, government bodies & customers.
